Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake

I often talk about how my scoops are inspired by local ingredients or restaurant menus, by requests from friends and family, or by memories or experiences.  But sometimes when inspiration wanes, I rely upon the food blogger world to provide me with some tasty ideas.

I came across a blog post from Joy the Baker a few months ago and book-marked it for such a time when I needed some inspiration.  She blogged about flavoring a vanilla milkshake with toasted marshmallows, which I thought was genius.  Why not?  I wondered how much flavor of the freshly toasted marshmallows would add to the milkshake and I was pleasantly surprised.  Highly recommended!

You can find the recipe to make a Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake here, and I have provided you with some pictures for inspiration.  Joy's pictures of her milkshake are lovely as usual.  My brother recommends adding a swirl of chocolate syrup to the milkshake for some extra goodness.

Enjoy!
